Job Summary: Act as primary liaison to retail operations, regarding service level commitments.
Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Responsible for appointment setting and order entry as needed by department
- Assists in solicitation practices for best freight cost to meet company goals
- Summarizes and reports customer service levels and customer activity as directed
- Amends systematic load information to ensure proper charges are levied to the customer and keys in driver delivery times
- Provides weekly service reports on H-E-B store runs
- Continuously monitors truck activity & movement for expected on time service
- Responsible for assisting Safety Department with compliance of company guidelines and DOT regulations
- Monitors communication system for proper usage, updates, and responds as needed
Education and Experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Word and Excel
- Data entry experience
Key Competencies preferred
- Effective written / verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong organization and time management skills with ability to multi-task and attention to detail
- Working knowledge and expertise in TMW preferred
- Preferred Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Basic understanding of revenue, service and asset utilization goals for assigned areas
- Basic understanding of claim reporting procedures
Physical and Other Requirements
- Work hours and days fluctuate based on business needs (evenings, weekends, nights and holidays are examples)
- Must be able to work extended shifts (10- 12 hrs.)
- Ability to move throughout assigned work areas
- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
- Sit for an extended period of time
